FOR SALE

1976 Jaguar XJ6 for sale VIN 2T 17023BW.

At 41 years old, this graceful lady is in immaculate condition, having spent the last 30 years in semi-retirement, firstly doing short local trips for weddings and formals in the 90’s, then as a club car on historic registration with STHARC since early 2000. Hence the low kilometres. She has always been garaged and never strayed from sealed roads except to occasionally negotiate some questionable entrance driveways. Fully restored in early 90’s in preparation for her glamorous life in the spotlight with back to metal paint and new leather interior prior to wedding use. She also acquired a Daimler radiator grill at this time to fit in with a couple of friends for photo-shoots. Remains in this condition today. Comes with original delivery book and a comprehensive maintenance file since then. While on historic registration has had full roadworthy checks each year which were passed clear.

$8000.

Landline is more reliable because mobile coverage is patchy at home.

FORSALE

1929 O.H.C. MORRIS MINOR SPORTSTER.

THIS IS A FULLY-RESTORED SPORTS CAR UPON WHICH HAS BEEN SPENT MUCH MORE THAN ITS PRESENT ASKING PRICE OF $20,000.

This car has had a ground up restoration. It is registered for South Australia with plate RUA- 842. Engine number is 7915A.  Chassis number is 10689 .

It has a unique C.M.S. (Coventry Motor Subsidiaries) two-seater period tourer body which is a copy of the Harry Edwards car with ‘V’ windscreen and ‘V’ dashboard. The frame was made by E. Linaris in U.K. It has been modified within the CHMC guidelines of acceptable safety alterations by having fully-engineered 1932 M orr is side-valve hydraulic brakes fitted. It has a four speed gearbox from the 1932 side-valve Minor so again fits perfectly into the Vintage Minor chassis arrangement.  The box was rebuilt by John Needham in Melbourne.  All other mechanicals are period.

This 88-year-old vehicle has been fully restored with expert input. The engine has been completely rebuilt by a qualified engineer and has a new crankshaft and many other new parts. Although restoration was completed a bit over ten years ago, the whole car is like new and is unique and desirable.

John Needham in Victoria did the professional rebuild of the gearbox.

The vehicle has a fold-down double-duck hood with a hood bag. All five tyres are new. The paintwork is maroon and the car is trimmed in black leather with black carpets.

The instruments were overhauled in the U.K. by John Marks. Interested persons should enquire of the owner:
