About Our Club

Founded in 2001, STHARC is a welcoming, family-friendly club for anyone passionate about older vehicles. Based in Queanbeyan and the Southern Tablelands, our members enjoy a mix of classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, caravans, and more — all with one thing in common: a love for vehicles over 30 years old.

You don't need to own a vintage vehicle to join — just an interest and enthusiasm for heritage motoring. Our members enjoy regular local and multi-day runs, static displays, charity events, and the chance to share restoration tips and stories.

Stay connected with the community through our monthly magazine, The WHEEL, featuring events, highlights, and a "car of the month." STHARC is also affiliated with regional motoring councils, giving members access to historic registration benefits.

Whether you're a seasoned restorer or simply curious, heritage motoring is a rewarding, accessible hobby. Join STHARC and experience the fun, camaraderie, and history that comes with every drive!

Membership

You do not have to have a vehicle to join STHARC, but you must be a financial member of an accredited automobile club to be eligible to obtain Historic Registration (Club Plates) in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Registration in the club is open to all Veteran (up to 1919), Vintage (1920 to 1930) and Historic Automobiles (equal to or greater than 30 years of age), any make and any model. This also applies to Tractors and Motorcycles meeting the above criteria. One membership can have numerous vehicles on Historic Registration (Club Plates).
